Molly Oswald, PMHNP-BC

I am a board certified psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner (PMHNP-BC) trained to treat clients across the lifespan struggling with mental health issues.  I treat all kinds of psychiatric and mental health conditions.  I like to use an integrated approach that focuses on the mind, body and spirit.  While I’m a prescriber of psychiatric medications and value very much their importance in treatment, I believe their effectiveness can be enhanced with a therapeutic presence.  The therapeutic modalities I provide are rooted in mindfulness, self-compassion and cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT).

I received my post master’s PMHNP certificate from UCSF. My clinical training included working with many diverse and vulnerable populations such as unhoused patients at the LA County-USC emergency department, human trafficking survivors at a Southern California nonprofit and children and adolescents at UCLA’s Psychiatry Department.  I also have a post-master’s Adult Gero Primary Care Nurse Practitioner (AGNP-C) certificate from California State University Los Angeles, a Master’s in nursing (MSN) from UCLA, and a BS in biomedical engineering from Marquette University.  I have worked as a nurse and nurse practitioner for over 15 years.  I also continue to work as a nurse practitioner in oncology and have a passion for providing medical and psychotherapeutic care for those suffering from cancer and other terminal illnesses. I also have a certificate in Psychedelic-Assisted Therapy from the California Institute of Integral Studies (CIIS) and look forward to using psychedelics as a therapeutic modality once FDA approved.
