Psychologist

I received my BA in Psychology from The College of New Jersey- where I was born and raised. I then completed an MA in Forensic Psychology at Marymount University in Northern Virginia and received an MS in Clinical Psychology en route to a PhD from Palo Alto University. My clinical training experience involved working with children, adolescents, and adults of diverse cultural backgrounds in a variety of settings including school based, community mental health, and substance use treatment centers. I enjoy working with people of all ages and supporting clients through transitioning stages of development, and have facilitated groups specifically for young adults/ transitional aged youth (folks ~ 18-26).
I take a client-centered approach to psychotherapy wherein each client’s unique and individual strengths, needs, and goals are the basis for a collaborative treatment plan. My theoretical orientation is integrative and I am trained in cognitive behavioral and 3rd wave cognitive behavioral interventions that integrate elements of mindfulness and attachment, such as Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Compassion Focused Therapy (CFT), and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT). I strongly believe in the idea of the “ultimate goal” of DBT, which is to build a life that is experienced as worth living. I look forward to being a part of your mental health and wellness journey.
