Psychologist
I am a licensed clinical psychologist who provides psychological services for adults and older adults. I earned my Bachelor’s degree in psychology from Washington University in St. Louis, and my Masters and Doctorate degrees in Clinical Psychology from Northwestern University. I completed my internship at the Captain James A. Lovell Federal Health Care Center in North Chicago, Illinois. My research focused on the exploration of various aspects of memory and the effects of depression on neuropsychological functioning. After taking time away from clinical work to focus on raising my family, I practiced in Ohio until moving to California in 2022.
My focus is on providing individual therapy to adults over the age of 18 who are struggling with issues such as depression, anxiety, life transitions, grief and loss, stress, and low self-esteem. I utilize an integrative approach and incorporate cognitive-behavioral, insight-oriented, and interpersonal techniques along with being active and practical within a warm, caring, accepting and supportive environment. I also have extensive experience conducting adult neuropsychological evaluations, especially with older adults who may have concern about the beginnings of a progressive dementia.
