Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner
I am a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner who is privileged to work with individuals across the lifespan. I take a collaborative, holistic, and strengths-based approach to psychiatric care, believing that meaningful healing occurs when treatment addresses the whole person—mind, body, relationships, and lived experience. I work with children, adolescents, and adults, and I am deeply passionate about supporting clients as they define and work toward their personal mental health goals.
I believe that each individual brings inherent strengths, resilience, and insight to the treatment process, even during times of significant distress. My role is to help identify and build upon those strengths while providing compassionate, evidence-based care in a safe and supportive environment. During my training at the University of California, San Francisco, I had the opportunity to work with individuals from diverse backgrounds and with a wide range of clinical presentations, which strongly shaped my inclusive, culturally responsive approach to care.
I have a particular interest in working with children, adolescents, and families who have experienced trauma. Prior to becoming a nurse practitioner, I worked as a social worker and child and family therapist specializing in attachment-based trauma treatment. I bring specialized training and experience in cognitive behavioral therapy, play therapy, attachment-based interventions, early childhood mental health, and eye movement desensitization and reprocessing (EMDR), alongside thoughtful and individualized medication management.
