Mental Health Programs

Our Mental Health Program Services provide support for adults and adolescents experiencing emotional or behavioral challenges.

Our approach to treatment is holistic and individualized. We work alongside patients throughout their recovery journey. Currently, we offer three levels of care: residential treatment center (RTC) for adolescents only, partial hospitalization (PHP) and intensive outpatient (IOP). Adult and adolescent programs are offered in-person, virtual, and hybrid options.

Our programs provide intensive care through therapeutic activities, individual and group therapy, and skill-building workshops. They are designed for those who need more support than traditional outpatient services provide. Participants can engage in various treatments and activities that promote recovery, enhance coping skills, and improve overall well-being in a community setting.

Levels of care

Residential Treatment Center (RTC)

Highly-structured and supportive 24-hour treatment environment with focus on treating severe depression, psychosis, debilitating anxiety, gender affirming care, behavioral disorders, suicide ideation/attempt, OCD, and co-morbid disorders to include eating disorders and substance use disorders. Program is for adolescents ages 12-17 of all genders.

Partial Hospitalization (PHP)

Our PHP provides a more frequent and concentrated level of care than IOP. Service is available at our San Jose clinic. The goal of PHP is to stabilize the client and prevent the need for more intensive care. PHP clients typically step down into the IOP level of care.

Frequency: Treatment is 6 hours per day, Monday – Friday.

Duration: Although each client is unique, the typical duration of PHP level of care is typically less than one month.

What to expect

Psychotherapy Groups

Our Mental Health Programs utilize a variety of evidence-based approaches to support individuals in their journey to recovery and wellness. In our PHP and IOP Programs, services are primarily provided through intensive group therapy. However, individual therapy can be arranged as needed.

Services include:

  • Group therapy
  • Individual therapy once a week (as needed or requested by client/client’s family)
  • Couples/family (if appropriate)
  • Psychoeducation
  • Skill building activities

Psychiatry And Medication Management

Psychiatry and Medication Management is offered to individuals in our outpatient department as needed or recommended by the treatment team. At any point, clients can request a psychiatric evaluation with one of our psychiatrists or psychiatric nurse practitioners. If individuals already have a psychiatrist or psychiatric nurse practitioner, our treatment team will collaborate with them as needed.

In our Mental Health Programs, we offer a supportive environment where our clients can integrate into their environments at home, work, and school while having a team of support. This type of care is usually stepped down to outpatient therapy and medication management, and in some cases, we will recommend group therapy once or twice a week to ensure support for each client.
