Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner
I’m Yael, a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner and a California native. I earned my Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of Michigan and my Doctorate of Nursing Practice from the University of Arizona. Throughout my career, I have worked in a wide range of inpatient and outpatient settings across both medical and mental health specialties, which has shaped my comprehensive and flexible approach to psychiatric care. As a PMHNP, I work with individuals across the lifespan, with a particular focus on children, adolescents, young adults, and their families.
My approach to care is collaborative, strengths-based, and rooted in mutual respect. I believe that while I bring clinical expertise in psychiatric assessment, medication management, and therapeutic interventions, you are the expert on your own experiences—or on your child’s experiences. Together, we will work to identify goals and develop a treatment plan that reflects your values, needs, and priorities. While medication can be an important part of treatment, I also emphasize the integration of therapy, coping skills, and lifestyle modifications to support holistic and sustainable well-being.
I strive to create a warm, welcoming, and inclusive environment at every appointment, where patients feel safe, heard, and supported. I value building trusting relationships and look forward to partnering with you to support growth, resilience, and overall mental health.
